Dedicated client database
Safe volunteer matching
Every engagement on record

01
Keep the people you support in a dedicated client database, right alongside your volunteers, instead of in a separate spreadsheet. Whether you call them clients, beneficiaries or members, each person has a profile with their details, the programmes they’re part of and the volunteers supporting them.
Client tags are kept separate from volunteer tags, so you can record things like lives alone or uses a hearing aid
Referrals arrive through online forms and are added straight to your client list
Search and filter your clients, and export the list to Excel whenever you need to
Every change is logged in a full audit trail, so you can show who did what and when for safeguarding.

02
Create missions for a specific client, such as a weekly befriending visit, a mentoring session or a shopping drop. Then choose how the match is made:
Assign the mission directly to a named volunteer you already know is right
Or publish it only to volunteers with the right qualifications, such as befriending training or a background check
Qualified volunteers request to help, and staff review each request before approving or declining it. Until a volunteer is approved, sensitive information such as the client’s address and phone number stays hidden, so personal details are only ever shared with the person who will be helping.
03
Volunteers only see what they need to help. By default, they see a client’s first name and the initial of their second name. The full name is shown only when it’s needed, for example when collecting a prescription.
A details section, such as the client’s address, that only approved volunteers can see
An optional call button in the app, so volunteers can phone a client without swapping personal numbers
Checklists and shopping lists on missions, so shopping drops go to plan
With role-based access, group restrictions and secure in-app chat in place of WhatsApp, client information stays with the people who should see it.

04
After every call or visit, volunteers submit a mission report in the app. Over time this builds a full picture of the engagements and services each client has received, from befriending calls to home DIY jobs and shopping drops.
Reminders prompt volunteers to submit a report, for example after each befriending call
Alerts tell the right staff straight away when a report answer raises a concern
Mission activeness on the dashboard shows the latest activity for every match, so you can spot befriending matches that have gone quiet
Turn it all into dashboards for managers and funders with volunteer reporting.
Also included
Run face-to-face and telephone befriending from one place. Match each client with a volunteer, use reminders and reports to keep calls on track, and bring befriending volunteers together in group chats for peer support.
Set up a mission for each mentoring or buddy match and keep every session on record with mission reports. Volunteers and staff can talk in secure in-app chat, so nobody needs to share a personal number.
Publish digital champion missions to volunteers with the right training, approve who helps, and record each session against the client’s profile. Over time you’ll see exactly who you’ve helped to get online, and how.
Organise shopping drops, home DIY jobs and prescription collections as missions. Add shopping lists and checklists, reveal the address only to the approved volunteer, and show a client’s full name only when a collection needs it.
