01
The home page shows every staff user what needs their attention, and each person can choose the components most useful to them, such as:
Recent shift requests, check-ins and approval requests
Mission status, showing how many missions are open, claimed or completed
Mission activeness, so you can spot befriending matches where calls or meetings haven’t happened recently
Recent receipts and recently completed missions
Mission and shift lists can be sorted, filtered by group and set up to show the details each person needs, with calendar and agenda views colour coded for volunteer uptake. See more in volunteer scheduling.

02
Collect feedback and data after every volunteering activity with mission reports. Build a report template for each type of activity and link it to your missions, using structured questions, free-text answers, numbers, photos or other evidence.
Volunteers submit reports in the app, or staff complete them on their behalf, and everything is stored centrally to review, export and analyse. Set reminders for volunteers who haven’t submitted a report, and alerts on specific answers so the right staff hear straight away when a response needs follow-up.
03
Turn the data from across Volunteero into charts that make sense of it. Custom insights dashboards can use any source of data in the platform, with extra filters and ways to split the data.
Create as many dashboards as you need, such as organisation-wide volunteering, a single project or a monthly report for management
Filter by date range, groups and more
Everything updates in real time, so there’s no waiting for reports to load
Attendance and hours recorded through check-in and check-out feed straight in, supporting funder reporting, compliance and impact measurement.

04
Volunteero is built so you shouldn’t need spreadsheets, but when you do, all source data can be exported to Excel, including volunteers, clients, qualifications, missions, shifts and form submissions.
Every volunteer profile shows a full history of involvement, from missions joined and shifts completed to hours volunteered and reports submitted. All activity is logged against the relevant records, creating a clear audit trail that supports governance, safeguarding and compliance.
Also included
See where every volunteer is in their onboarding journey and filter for anyone who has been at a stage for a while, so you can step in and support them. See onboarding and training.
Send surveys in the app, by link or QR code and see insights from the responses in real time. Exit surveys can be sent automatically when a volunteer’s account is closed. More on recognition and surveys.
See who has read each message and how many people have read it in total, across direct messages, group chats and newsfeeds. More on volunteer communication.
Organise volunteers into groups by programme, region or service. Groups let you limit staff access to the areas they oversee, and filter missions, shifts and dashboards to the part of your organisation you need.
Report templates can include structured questions, free-text answers, numbers, photos or other evidence. Volunteers submit reports in the app, or staff can complete them on their behalf.
