Volunteero runs fully automated DBS checks in England and Wales through our native integration with Verifile. Map your roles to the right DBS type once, then add a background check to any onboarding journey. The result comes back into Volunteero for staff to review, and you can restrict activities to volunteers with a valid check.

Qualifications are certifications a volunteer holds, such as completed training, background checks or other certificates. They control which missions and shifts each volunteer can join.

Groups control which missions volunteers can see and which chats they can join. They can mirror your structure, from national to regional to individual programmes, and they also limit what staff can access. Tags add custom attributes such as skills or languages to volunteer and client profiles.

Every staff user has a role and group restrictions. Roles set permissions for each area of Volunteero, including access to sensitive information, and group restrictions limit each person to the data within their remit.

Through our integration with Yoti, Volunteero offers fully automated ID and address verification worldwide. Add it to onboarding or use it for ongoing compliance, and restrict activities to volunteers with a valid ID check.
Automated renewals keep training, agreements and qualifications up to date. Volunteers get reminders when something needs renewing and clear instructions on what to do next, so you’re not chasing every step.
