01
A mission represents a volunteering role, activity or service. Missions can be one-off, recurring or ongoing with no end date, and each has its own location, description, eligibility criteria, required skills, capacity limits, reporting requirements and visibility rules.
Decide who sees each mission: all volunteers, specific groups or only people you invite. Volunteers can sign themselves up, request a place for staff to approve, or be assigned by staff, so the same system works for open community volunteering and tightly controlled services.

02
Where attendance is scheduled, add shifts with dates, times and capacity limits, one at a time or as a recurring series. Volunteers can request or claim shifts depending on your settings, and staff can approve, assign or reassign people, so your roster is always current.
Shift settings include:
Preventing volunteers from booking shifts that clash
Restricting last-minute cancellations
Requiring staff approval for shift requests
Restricting shifts by qualification or group
Staff can view the whole schedule across all missions or within one mission, in list, calendar and agenda views colour coded by uptake.
03
Volunteers check in and out in the app, or staff can do it for them, and you can see who is on site in real time. For extra control, require QR code check-in. Kiosk mode turns any device, even a coordinator’s phone, into a check-in point that shows the QR code for each shift. Attendance and hours feed straight into reporting.

Mission templates define the types of activity you run and their default settings, so every new mission starts right. Templates can include:
A prefilled description, plus details only approved volunteers can see
Default qualifications volunteers need before they can claim the mission or its shifts
Reporting, location, expenses and checklists switched on or off
Client safety options, such as letting volunteers call a client from the app
Reminders before a mission starts, and reminders to submit a report
Give trusted volunteers a group leader role with the permissions you choose. Group leaders can assign shifts, remove volunteers from shifts, check people in and see contact and emergency details for their group. It’s especially useful for corporate, event and retail volunteering.
