In this session, Charlotte will share her personal experience of how she has used skills in leadership and influencing to create support for volunteering. With a broad range of both operational and strategic experience, Charlotte has led on volunteer strategy development and implementation, set up centralised volunteering departments, improved volunteer journey and experience, and developed training for those who manage and support volunteers.

You will come away with an understanding of the importance of your role as a leader, some top tips and models to help you to increase your influence, and an opportunity to speak with colleagues about your reflections.

Charlotte brings over 19 years' experience of involving volunteers across the charity sector, having worked for organisations such as Sense, The Myton Hospices, and Macmillan Cancer Support in senior leadership roles. Charlotte is also vice chair of trustees for Bliss and a non-exec director for the Association of Volunteer Managers (AVM).
